The original MINI may had a good run at many rally races but the modern MINI was never known for off-roading. Well, that was until MINI Countryman came along. Speaking of which, this little eager MINI off-roader has a new model. Folks meet the delightful, new MINI Countryman C.
The new MINI Countryman model introduces enhanced performance and design, offering gasoline and diesel variants, with an efficient 3-cylinder engine in the Countryman C. The 1.5L turbocharged 3-cylinder engine with mild hybrid technology enables reduced consumption without sacrificing power.
This modest motor produces a respectable 170 PS (168 HP) and turns out 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque, and is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission which affords it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 8.3 seconds and sending it on its way to a top speed of 212 km/h (132 mph).
The redesigned exterior offers a sleek, modern look with LED lights and optional new signatures, while the interior provides spaciousness, comfort, and advanced technology, including a round OLED display and various driving modes.
The Countryman C also introduces partially automated driving capabilities, adding to its appeal. Though it is not clear if this feature comes standard or as an option. For the uninitiated, the C is the base version followed by a mid-ranger “S” and before rounding up with the range-topper John Cooper Works.
