Acer has a couple of new gaming laptops for gamers. Wait. What am I talking about? Acer always have new gaming laptops, don’t they? Anywho… what’s interesting about is, of course, they are powered by the latest 10th-Gen Intel Core processors, and one of them is actually fairly affordable.
The two new gaming laptops are Acer Predator Triton 500 and Acer Nitro 5. Both machines are rocking the new 10th-Gen Intel Core processors, the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX SUPER and GTX GPUs, and fast refresh rates of up to 300 Hz on the Triton 500 and up to 144 Hz on the Nitro 5.
For gamers and creators who have a bit more cash to spare, the Acer Predator Triton 500 offers 300 Hz 15.6-inch FHD IPS panel with 3 ms overdrive response time, 100 percent sRGB color gamut, up to 7.5 hours of battery, and NVIDIA G-SYNC.
Other notables include Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i wireless controller, E3100G ethernet controller, Control Center 2.0, up to 32 GB DDR4 RAM and up to 2 TB NVMe, RAID 0 SSD storage.
Finally, the machine further features 4th Gen AeroBlade 3D fan with five heat pipes that bumps up thermal performance by 33 percent over its predecessor. All that are packed inside a beautiful, thin all-metal chassis.
The Nitro 5, on the other hand, is geared towards the budget conscious. In addition, the 10th-Gen Intel Core processor, it is offered in graphics options of GeForce RTX 2060 or the latest GeForce GTX 1650Ti or 1650 GPUs.
Other highlights include up to two M.2 PCIe SSDs and a 1 TB HDD, user upgradeable RAM of to 32 GB DD4R4, 144 or 120 Hz 15.6-inch FHD IPS display, dual-fan cooling system, Wi-Fi 6 AX201, Killer Ethernet E2600 – just to list a few.
The Acer Predator Triton 500 and the Acer Nitro 5 gaming laptops are available this month (May) with a starting price of US$2,199.99 and US$749.99, respectively.
