You know Tony Stark’s home hanging a cliff in Malibu in Iron Man series was the work of CGI, but do you know Avengers HQ in Avengers: Endgame is not CGI? So, if it wasn’t CGI-ed, where on Earth was Avengers HQ? Well, as it turns out, the building belongs to a Chinese heavy construction machinery company, Sany Heavy Industry Co., and it is located in Peachtree City, Georgia. Quite a turn of event, ain’t it? Like, in the movie, Avengers HQ is synonymous with futuristic tech, but you really can’t say the same for heavy machinery.
Don’t get me wrong. Heavy construction machinery are pretty advanced, but they surely don’t stack up to the futuristic stuff in the superhero flick. Amazingly, this revelation only came about recently when China Daily posted about it on Chinese micro-blogging site, Weibo, and subsequently reported by Chinese English language media site, Global Times. Thanks to the confidentiality agreement signed by Sany and the Avengers crew, nobody knew Avengers HQ was in fact a heavy machinery manufacturer’s facility in the U.S.
I have to say the location choice is convincing enough to make us think it is a high-tech facility even though in reality, it is not quite so. Seriously, excavators, bulldozers, concrete mixers and other construction machines though essential, are pretty mundane when compared to Rocket Raccoon’s Benatar or the Quinjet. Just saying…
