Despite its namesake, the Balenciaga x NASA Space Parka isn’t made for space. However, like China’s Lunar and Deep Space Exploration x McDonald’s China jacket, you do not need to be a member of the space agency, or an astronaut to own one.
Additionally, it will make you look like an astronaut (albeit only for the upper torso) which you always wanted to be without having an exemplary education and putting yourself through rigorous fitness regiment.
Not a bad pitch, actually, except that you have to be pretty damn rich to afford one because, the Balenciaga x NASA Space Parka will run at back at a cooler than space US$5,050.
So, yeah, the Balenciaga x NASA Space Parka is probably as expensive as an astronaut suit by consumer’s standards. Anyhoo, the jacket is Balenciaga reinterpretation of the astronaut suit.
