Behind the Scenes of Pandora: The World of AVATAR

Director James Cameron had this crazy idea known today as AVATAR as far back as 1995 but back then technology wasn’t available to make it without breaking the bank. Now, not only AVATAR was made and screened in 2009, already sequels (yes, sequel, as in more than one) have been planned. Fast forward 7 years and technology is available to allow a theme park based on James Cameron’s AVATAR to be created and it will be throwing its door open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in summer 2017. That’s just a few months down the road!

Behind the Scenes of Pandora: The World of AVATAR
Magical bioluminescent world!

The theme park, appropriately called Pandora: The World of AVATAR, features, well, a world in Pandora’s terms which means, you get to immerse amongst alien plants and whatnot, and features rides like Na’vi journey ride through bioluminescent forest and possibly a ride based around the flight on Ikran that lets you admire the world of Pandora from above. To be honest, we know little about this theme park, but we are as thrilled nonetheless because, AVATAR.

For record, I do not have a Na’vi fetish like Jake did. No offence to Jake and all Na’vi’s lovers out there, though. Anyways, here’s the clip where James Cameron, the park’s producer and crew takes you behind the scene of the park in the making.
