Not everyone who loves Bowers & Wilkins Px8 is a fan of Agent 007 but I am pretty sure most people, be it ladies or gentlemen, are defenseless when it comes to sexy supercars. Having said that, if you are a car nut, this pair of headphones, the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 McLaren Edition Headphone, is for you.
Specially created by the British high-end audio equipment maker to celebrate its partnership with McLaren and the high-performance hybrid McLaren Artura supercar, the Bowers & Wilkins Px8 McLaren Edition boasts an aesthetic inspired by the British marque’s supercar design.
It features a Galvanic grey finish and Papaya orange highlights, the latter inspired by the famous Papaya orange which originated in founder Bruce McLaren’s early racing cars.
Beyond the cosmetic touches, it is the Px8 you already know. This means outstanding detail, resolution, and spaciousness offered by the all-new bespoke 40 mm Carbon Cone drive units.
Each Carbon Cone drive unit is angled inside the earcup to ensure a consistent distance relative to the listener’s ears from every point across the surface of each driver, resulting in a more immersive and highly-accurate soundstage.
Meanwhile, Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive wireless technology ensures the best possible wireless audio quality.
The cans further feature B&W-developed DSP, 24-bit high-resolution sound, proprietary B&W-optimized noise cancellation technology enabled by 4 high-performance microphones, and 2 high-performance microphones for outstanding voice clarity with enhanced noise suppression.
The Bowers & Wilkins Px8 McLaren Edition Headphone will be available from Bowers & Wilkins’ website and select retailers now, priced at US$799.
