The latest LEGO Speed Champions set will set the heart of JDM imports and the Fast & Furious franchise fans fluttering. Joining the LEGO x Fast & Furious collab revealed in 2020 product is the second Speed Champions Fast & Furious set after the inexplicably squarish Dom’s Dodge Charger R/T and the third F&F set is the LEGO Fast & Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) (76917).

That’s right. That would be the ride of Brian O’Conner (played by the late Paul Walker), which was a 1999 BNR34 Nissan Skyline GT-R from 2 Fast 2 Furious. There has been some buzz over the LEGO Fast & Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) (76917) set over the last couple of weeks but it is not official.

The set has not been officially listed in the main catalog but information regarding the set can be found buried deep in LEGO.com. Plus, we also found it being listed on German LEGO toy seller JB Spielwaren.

This upcoming set, which packs 319 pieces, faithfully recreated the C-West kitted R34 GT-R in LEGO form, boasting an amazing level of details, including the blue racing stripes and livery, the huge rear wing, metallic wheels, and the authentic GT-R logo. Most importantly for fans is that the set comes with a Paul Walker Minifigure.

I am not a huge fan of Paul Walker’s acting nor am I a fan of the over-the-top racing genre-based action franchise. But I am totally impressed by how LEGO managed to accurately capture the spirit of the R34 with limited pieces.

LEGO Fast & Furious Nissan Skyline GT-R (76917)

Since it is not listed on LEGO.com yet, we do not have the price in dollars. But as per JB Spielwaren’s listing, we know that it will sell for €24.99 (roughly US$26.24) in Europe. The set will go on sale on January 03, 2023.
