The LEGO extraordinaire who combined two LEGO Iron Man sets to create a UCS-worthy Iron Man build—and then proceeded to make the official LEGO Hulkbuster set actually look like the Hulkbuster from the movie—is back to fix another LEGO blooper. Folks, meet the 76215 Black Panther Alternate Build by Ransom Fern. And the result is nothing short of brilliant (read: putting LEGO’s own designers to shame).

Most fans appreciated what the 76215 set tried to achieve, but unfortunately, many also saw it as yet another LEGO misfire. Strictly using only the 2,961 pieces from the set, Ransom Fern turned it into an entire upper torso, complete with a “high-resolution” cowl and a pair of full arms in the iconic “Wakanda Forever” salute. While the arms aren’t posable, the hands do have articulated fingers.
The coolest aspect of this build isn’t just the accurate recreation of the Marvel superhero’s upper torso with all the right details; it’s the fact that it’s scaled to match the rest of the LEGO Marvel helmet collection—which, IMHO, is absolutely insane.
If you own the 76215 set, you may seriously want to consider this alternate build. If you do fancy this suggestion, the instructions are available on Rebrickable.com for just 17 bucks.
