Thanks to Balenciaga $2,144 interpretation of Ikea’s 99 cents Frakta tote bag, Ikea is having quite a lot of attention of late and the Internet, had some fun too, including a mega shoe lover, Instagram user Brucehatoo. Riding on the Ikea hype, Brucehatoo came up with the idea of photoshopping a pair of Yeezy sneakers into Ikea Frakta-inspired kicks which he then posted on his Instagram account to much rave reception. In fact, I saw came across Bruce’s ‘creation’ a few days ago and was wondering to myself, what if Ikea really collaborate with Adidas? Wouldn’t it be cool?

Well, I guess I need not to imagine how an actual pair of Frakta-inspired kicks will look like because sneaker customizer, Marche Customs, had done so. Taking cue from Bruce’s photoshopped Ikea Yeezy, Marche took his “destroyed” cream white Yeezy and turn Bruce’s photoshopped concept into a real pair – complete with the iconic Ikea blue and yellow colorway and the Swedish furniture maker’s branding. But Marche did not stop there. He took it a step further; bringing the custom Ikea Yeezy sneakers down to his local and took a couple of realistic product shots, including one with the Frakta bag as the background. Nice.
