The Japanese musical instrument maker has collaborated with a traditional interior design company from CRASH GATE [JP] by Seki Kagu Co., Ltd. [JP] in Fukuoka to realize its ideal piano chair. This initiative stems from Casio’s desire to complement the world view of their Privia PX-S7000 electronic piano, launched in 2022.

The PX-S7000, which breaks away from conventional piano styles, required a chair that matched its quality and aesthetic. Combining Casio’s knowledge in piano chair manufacturing with the design expertise of the interior company, they created a chair that harmonizes with the PX-S7000’s modern lifestyle appeal.

This collaboration marks Casio’s first venture with an external company in piano chair manufacturing. At a glance, you may dismiss this piano chair as an ordinary stool but it is more than meets the eye.

The chair’s design takes into consideration how pianist sometimes shift their center of gravity when playing, and comfort for prolonged sitting.
