Alexei Mikhailov‘s concept All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV), dubbed the TrakRok is everything but conventional. its lean, muscular design looks like a creature that is ready to tear the mud or snow terrain at a moment’s notice. i can’t decide if its a quad bike or is it a snowmobile which makes it a perfect machine by concept cos’ it probably has the best of both worlds. instead of a pair of rear wheels, it has an independent track, much like a snowmobile. what do you get when you mash up a bicycle, a skatescooter and a skateboard? the answer is Sbyke (pronounced as ‘spike’ and not be confused with ‘Skype’), a bicycle, skateboard and skatescooter hybrid. at the first glance, it looks like a skatescooter but with an oversized deck and a huge front wheel. the Sbyke bears the mark of a bicycle front end complete with handle bar and caliper hand brake, while sporting a wide skateboard-like deck with fiction grip surface but the overall look is unmistakably of a skatescooter. three-wheeled EX trike is a backbreaking way to travel

The EX Electric Trike 544x368px

besides the usual mode of transport, there are hundred and one ways to transport yourself from one location to another. there are skateboards, skatescooters and then there is The EX. The EX is an experimental eccentric vehicle that requires the driver to be in a rather compromising position. similar to the StreetFlyer that we featured last month, the driver lies headlong on the three-wheeled vehicle, but unlike the StreetFlyer, it has powered motion by the way of a pair of 18-volt Bosch electric drills. absolutely weird. i know. do not underestimate the power of drills, as this baby is capable of making a top speed of 30 km/h. however, we wouldn’t expect a couple of battery-powered drill to have any impressive range. if you have used a battery-powered drill, you would know why.
