we have seen our fair share of iPad stands, but the COBURNS Minimalist iPad Stand here really win hands down in terms of beauty and simplicity, and the result from the still ongoing Kickstarter campaign pretty much says it all. it may look like those cheap plastic items, but we assure you that it is not. the COBURNS is in a league of its own. crafted from natural hardwood, each set of COBURNS features magnets embedded within them to keep the two pieces together when not in use. each piece has a cutout designed to fit your iPad, which can be adjusted anywhere along your device to vary the viewing angle. depending how you want your iPad to be propped up, you can choose to use one or both pieces, and when you are done, just snap the two back together and the ‘cutout’ forms a neat opening which the include felt loop can be attached to, turning your COBURNS into a keychain.

available in birdseye maple or pau ferro wood, the COBURNS Minimalist iPad Stand is available for the 3rd and 4th generation iPad, iPad Air, as well as iPad mini and iPad mini with Retina Display. the product is on Kickstarter from now through to December 5 and has since surpassed its original funding goal, which means the product is a reality and the folks behind the product, FineGrain has promised delivery in time for this holiday season. you can secure a set for yourself for just 19 bucks. take a few more look in the image gallery below and also, do check out a pitch video after the break to learn more.
