Xiaomi AI Glasses

Xiaomi has almost every aspect of our daily living covered. From phones to home appliances to healthcare, it has it all—but surprisingly, smart glasses weren’t part of the picture. Until now. During the keynote, where it dropped the MIX Flip 2 and the new YU7 SUV, the tech giant also revealed its first smart eyewear: the Xiaomi AI Glasses.

And no, these aren’t just smart glasses—they’re “AI” glasses, because that’s the buzzword du jour. They may look like a normal pair of specs (in black, brown, or green), but under the hood, they’re a full-on gadget. You get a 12 MP Sony camera on your face that can record 2K video, take first-person photos, and even livestream whatever mischief you’re up to.

There’s no screen, no weird tapping at your temple—instead, it’s all voice-controlled through Xiaomi’s Super XiaoAi assistant. You can control your smart home, scan QR codes for payments, get real-time translations in ten languages, and even have your meetings summarized through the app. Basically, it’s like having a secretary quietly living in your eyewear.

Audio is handled by dual speakers and five microphones—yes, five—including bone conduction and wind-noise reduction, so you can whisper sweet nothings to your toaster or whatever else you’ve hooked into Xiaomi’s ecosystem.

The 263 mAh battery offers up to 8.6 hours of use and charges via USB-C in under an hour. And if you spring for the electrochromic lenses, you can change tint on demand, which is about as cool as wearable tech gets without entering cyberpunk cosplay territory.

Prices start at around 1,999 yuan [CH] (about US$270) in China, and while global release plans remain hazy, this could be the smartest thing Xiaomi has put on your face yet.
