Xiaomi YU7 Electric SUV Pricing Revealed

I suspect Xiaomi wants to make EVs like they make phones. That means doing so, fast. From announcement to reveal to official keynote, the new Xiaomi YU7 went from concept to showroom in under a year. Now, pricing’s official, and in classic Xiaomi fashion, there’s a spec for every wallet (as long as your wallet is comfortable with electric SUVs).

Xiaomi YU7 Electric SUV Pricing Revealed

The Xiaomi YU7 starts at 253,500 yuan (about US$35,000), with the YU7 Pro at 279,900 yuan (around US$39,000), and the range-topping YU7 Max at 329,900 yuan (~US$46,000). Pre-orders are open with a 5,000 yuan deposit, and early birds locking in before July 31 can claim up to 66,000 yuan in limited-time perks.

But here’s why the YU7 isn’t your average family hauler. It packs up to 690 PS, hits 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.23 seconds, and tops out at 253 km/h (157 mph) — numbers suspiciously sporty for something with 1,970 litres of cargo space.

Inside, you get 17 square metres of baby-safe materials, UV-protected windows, and enough quiet glass to make your neighbour’s EV sound like a lawnmower. All models come with Xiaomi’s full tech suite: NVIDIA Thor chips, LiDAR, 4D radar, and end-to-end assisted driving with ten million Clips of training.

Clearly, the fandom is strong with Mi fans. In just 3 minutes, 200,000 have been spoken for, and in an hour, a total of 289,000 units were reserved. Absolutely bonkers. If you read Chinese, you may learn more HERE [CH].
