Xiaomi makes phones like they’re in a race—and apparently, the MIX Flip 2 is here to prove it. Barely a year since the first-gen MIX Flip, Xiaomi’s back with what it’s calling China’s most advanced clamshell foldable yet. Spoiler alert: this one’s actually got the specs to back it up.

The MIX Flip 2 [CH], unveiled on June 26, 2025, doesn’t just fold — it means business. You’re looking at a massive 5,165mAh battery (largest in any flip phone to date), Leica-tuned 50MP cameras, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite under the hood. It even comes with a dual vapor chamber cooling system — because apparently, even foldables run hot when packing this much power.
The displays? Main screen’s a 6.86-inch LTPO AMOLED with 1.5K resolution and 3,200 nits peak brightness. The outer 4.01-inch display? Same resolution, 120Hz, and supports over 500 apps — so yes, your phone stays useful even when it’s snapped shut.
Build-wise, Xiaomi went with “Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0,” because marketing loves dragons almost as much as they love high numbers. There’s also the “Dragon Bone” hinge with ridiculous floating plates and TÜV-certified eye care, in case you needed folding with fewer regrets.
Prices start at 5,999 yuan [CH] (around US$825), with configurations up to 16GB RAM and 1TB storage. As for the colors, there is Shell White, Nebula Purple, Plum Green, and Grid Gold—so your flip phone can match your mood, or your sports car.
