if you can recall, Microsoft had once ventured into its own tablet device called the Courier. well, actually it was more like a book with its foldable dual screens. whatever it was, after the news broke, there were fans eagerly looking forward to this product which of course, never came true. since iPad is the most popular tablet currently, it makes sense to have an app that will mimic’s Courier’s supposed functionality. while you may argue that there aren’t anything significant about this app but i suggest you read on and make the judgement later.

Taposé is essentially an iPad app that sports a split screen interface. this means user can drag and drop directly from Safari to the other ‘screen’ to form a scrapbook or make notes over the content. user can also drag addresses to Maps on the adjacent interface for directions or simply drag content over your contacts to share with them. to sum it up, this concept basically eliminates the need to switch from app to app to do some of the common stuff. i say, it’s a pretty cool idea. i haven’t been digging thru the AppStore, hence i’m not sure if there’s a similar app around. in anyway, check out the rather comical intro of the Taposé after the break. if all else fails, Ben and Rick can fall back on their engineering jobs or seriously consider acting as their career.

Ben is garnering support for this project via Kickstarter and if you choose to pledge $10 or more, you are essentially purchasing the Taposé app. as with all Kickstarter project, the amount you pledge will only be charged if the project hits its minimum funding goal. check out Taposé website or hit on Ben’s Kickstarter page to find out more.

Thanks Jacqueline for the heads up!
