There are many classic American cars still being loved. Some of them even modded to an outlandish proportion. Not this one though. Not this 1964 Lincoln Continental Convertible. The thing with Lincoln Conti is, it is not for everyone. You either love it or you hate it. There’s no in between, but I am very sure this pristine example here will only get nothing but love. Man, just look at it. IT IS SLAMMED! And draped in modern day car customizers’ favorite: matte wrap.
The wrap, a custom Tungsten wrap applied by AWT and trims painted in gloss black, complements its flat sides and its (very) slammed ride height – courtesy if AccuAir programmable air ride suspension, to offer a stylish appearance that’s ostentatious like so many low-riders do. Under the hood, it gets the good’ol 430 CI big-block V8 engine, paired to Edelbrock 4-barrel carburettor and a custom 2 1/2-inch exhaust for some extra oomph and appropriate sound effect.
Other noteworthy mentions include dual fans aluminum radiator, automatic gearbox, power steering (yes, it has that!), power brakes with Wilwood master cylinder, Alcantara seats with custom suede inserts, new black carpets with logo mats, remote door poppers, dual Red top batteries, power windows, locks and top, a custom 8.4-inch monitor with functional reverse camera, and finally, a set of 20-inch Mobsteel wheels with Whitewall radial tires round up the clean, custom ride.
Now, for the good news. This custom 1964 Lincoln Continental Convertible is up for grab! But not without caveats. Firstly, there is only one such example and secondly, you can only get via auction, and as such, you’d be competing with a bunch of people who are smitten by it. It will be on the last day of Mecum Auctions’ Huston sale, on Saturday, April 7. You have been told.
