Remember the Dockcase M.2 NVMe Smart SSD Enclosure? Well, it now has a tinier version aptly called Dockcase Pocket M.2 NVMe Smart SSD Enclosure. Like its bigger sibling, it boasts dual data protection and live monitoring to safeguard your data.
The Dockcase Pocket M.2 NVMe Smart SSD Enclosure boasts a built-in 1.33” IPS-LCD display that provides you with real-time readouts of vital parameters like data transfer speeds, storage capacity, SSD temperatures, et cetera.
Dual data protection includes power-less protection and read-only mode. The former keeps your data safe in the event of power outages and surges, while the latter prevents accidental deletion or modifications of the data.
Key features include an aluminum alloy construction with tempered glass, up to 10 Gbps transfer speeds, dual heat dissipation including integrated fins for effective passive heat dissipation, USB 3.2 Gen 2 with Type-C interface, and support for up to 2 TB 2230 SSD.
And did we mention it is super duper tiny? You know, like 43.5 x 43.5 x 15 mm (1.71 x 1.71 x 0.6 inches) kind of tiny and weighs just 45g (about 1.59 oz./without SSD).
Each enclosure comes with a 30 cm braided Type-C cable and also, if you pick this up during its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter, the device will rock a Kickstarter special greeting page.
Speaking of which, you may learn more about the Dockcase Pocket M.2 NVMe Smart SSD Enclosure and also check out its compatibility over at Kickstarter where you can also pre-order a unit for 620 Hong Kong dollars and up (about US$80, according to Kickstarter).
The campaign has already met its funding goal and so all backers have to do is wait for Dockcase to fulfill the order which should be around July 2023 if everything goes as planned.
