You have seen a shaver phone and a phone that is also a charging case for TWS earbuds, now meet one that measures distance. Folks, this is the DOOGEE S97 Pro, the world’s first rugged phone with a pro-grade laser range finder that boasts 8 measurement modes.
However, to call it a range finder may be a stretch. Because the so-called range finder on the S97 is in reality, a laser measurement tool with an effective range of 40 meters (131 feet).
The built-in laser measurement tool can do single measurement, as well as area and volume measurement where automatic calculation of the area and volume are done with the measurements taken.
In addition, it has three Pythagoras modes for measuring sloping edges, right angles, hypotenuse, and heights.

The device is IP68 and IP69K rated, and comes outfitted with a Samsung 48 PM AI quad-camera setup, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB storage (expandable up to 256 via T-Flash), and a built-in battery with a whopping 8,500 mAh good for 3-day use.
The battery has fast charging support (33 W), affording 55% charge in just an hour. Quite a feat considering that the battery is double the capacity of a typical smartphone.
The camera here is fully capable of 8K resolution (and does 4K videoing, of course) and the set also includes an 8 MP 130-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2 MP macro camera, a 2 MP portrait camera.
On the rugged aspect, it is drop-proof and scratch-resistant – thanks to the MIL-STD-810G standard build, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the high-density macro-molecule coating. DOOGEE said the S97 Pro can sustain drops from up to 2 meters (6.6 feet).
And did we mention it still has a headphone jack? Yup. It sure does.
As for the IP rating goes, it can be submerged in water up to 1.5 meters (4.9 feet) deep for up to 30 minutes each time.
