It is still some months away from the release of the new Batman movie directed by Matt Reeves, but already LEGO has listed a few sets of toys based on 2022’s The Batman.

The most notable set is perhaps the LEGO Technic set of the much-talked-about Batmobile. Before we proceed, folks who are hate spoilers may want to stop here and look away. It may not have spoilers, but we can’t guarantee what we say aren’t spoilers.

Now, back to the LEGO 1360 Technic The Batman Batmobile… it is inspired by the latest version of the Batmobile that we will be seeing in 2022 The Batman movie and features, Technic-level of details and true-to-life design.

Here’s a look at the engine light-up effect.

The most notable feature of this set is the implementation of not one, but two light bricks (namely, a red and a yellow light bricks). The red light will light up the transparent toy engine at the rear while the yellow brick lights up the front grille.

We believe this should be the first time that a Batmobile is getting the Technic treatment.

Other features include steering on the front wheels, differential on the rear wheels, a spinning flame, and opening doors and hood.

When completed, the Batmobile touts “perfect proportions” measuring over 4 inches (11 cm) high, 17 inches (45 cm) long, and 6 inches (17 cm ) wide. Oh, yes, it is a huge set, packing no less than 1,360 pieces.

We noted that there is no specific automobile maker’s logo which means, Robert Pattison’s Batmobile is not explicitly based on any real-life vehicle. So it is kind of like a scratch-built vehicle like the past Batmobiles.

The difference is, this one looks a little more like a real-life vehicle and less, you know, fantasy ride.

The LEGO 1360 Technic The Batman Batmobile Set will start shipping on November 01. Meanwhile, you can already pre-order it from LEGO.com for US$99.99.

In related news… there are two other sets based on the same movies. They are the 392-piece LEGO 76181 Batmobile: Penguin Chase and a 581-piece LEGO 76183 Batcave: The Riddler Face-off set.

Both sets are available to order now, with the 76181 retailing for US$29.99 and the 76183, for US$79.99.

Availability for both sets is also on November 01, 2021.
