In a nutshell, the soon-to-hit-theater Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is about how the Rebel sniffed out Death Star’s weakness that lead up to Luke and the gang destroying it in A New Hope and so, what could be a better way to promote the movie than recreating a Death Star right here on Planet Earth? Ok, technically, Death Star is a lot bigger than Earth could hold, but anyways, here it is, the Spaceship Earth at Epcot, transformed to look like the giant Death Star – complete with the much feared planet obliterating Super Laser – the main arsenal of the moon-size space station.
Death Star’s Super Laser isn’t exactly made to destroy puny X-wings, but that doesn’t stop Disney from doing so in this special Disney Blog meet-up which saw the Super Laser being put to action, annihilating a few pest X-wings in space. The entire was pretty dramatic and entertaining. The entire thing must have left many fans giggling with excitement, regardless they are pro-Rebel or pro-Imperial.
