Given Japanese headphones maker, final’s (formerly, Final Audio Design) penchant for geometric designs, it should come as no surprise they have released an official Evangelion collaboration TWS earbuds.

Like the Fender 2020 Evangelion Asuka Telecaster and among the many other Evangelion collabs, the EVA2020 x final True Wireless Earbuds is released to mark the upcoming (but now postponed) Evangelion movies, Evangelion 3.0 + 1.01.

What makes the TWS headphones so special is, it is not based on S’Next final existing catalog of headphones; it is both original in design and function, and completely worked with inspiration drawn from Evangelion.

Three designs are available: EVA Unit-01 Test Type, EVA Unit-02 Production Type and EVA Mark.06, which first appeared in Rebuild of Evangelion tetralogy. Each pair comes with a matching charging case and the earbuds itself features voice prompt voiced by NERV operator Maya Ibuki.

Other essentials include Qualcomm QCC3020 chipset, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C interface (for charging), aptX audio support (along with SBC, AAC) and 6 hours of playtime, or up to 63 hours in total when use with the included charging case.

EVA2020 x final True Wireless Earbuds is now selling in Japan through NTV Shop for 18,000 Yen (about US$169) plus tax.
