Not all electric car-adoring Rolls-Royce enthusiasts will love the Spectre. It is sleek—no question about it—but what if you are down for something that’s, well, retro? The answer? Lunaz or you could look to this new kid in the restomod space: Evice. The young UK startup is on a mission to create the definitive electric reimaginings of iconic classic cars.
The Evice “R001” is the restromodders’ latest classic car to receive the electric treatment. Built on Evice’s 800V electrical architecture, the R001 is the prototype of the electric Silver Shadow that promised reduced charging times in a lighter package.
The electric drivetrain delivers 400 horsepower, and it is paired with a 77 kWh battery that offers over a 200-mile (322 kilometer) range.
The powertrain is not the only component to receive the modern touch; the R001 also benefits from heated/ventilated electrically adjustable seats, full climate control air-conditioning, upgraded audio system with sub-woofer, infotainment screens with wireless Apple CarPlay, discreetly integrated reverse cameras, and active suspension and upgraded braking for a smooth ride.
The first customer car was commissioned and set for delivery in Spring 2026. In the meantime, you can learn more about Evice at evicecars.com.
