Don’t be envious that City of Hakone in Kanagawa, Japan, aka the real-life Tokyo-3, has a 2-meter (6.6 feet) Evangelion Unit 01 statue because, fans will now have a chance to own a “human-size” version too – thanks to Japanese entertainment company, FuRyu Corporation.

F: NEX x Design Coco Human-size Evangelion Unit 01 Figure

The company has revealed a new collectible under its F: NEX brand to commemorate the released of the new Evangelion movie that was released in theaters in Japan yesterday (Japan Time).

The figure, or should I say, statue, is developed using the production technology of Design Coco, a maker of life-size figures. If you are in Japan, you will be able to see it in person at Shinjuku Baltic 9, at Shinju-ku, Tokyo, along with a life-size figure of Unit 00 pilot, Rei Ayanami, starting on March 8.

The F: NEX x Design Coco Human-size Evangelion Unit 01 Figure towers at 2.3 meters (7 feet 6.55 inches) and it will include LED features. Rei statue, on the other hand, stands 161 centimeters, or about 5 feet 3.39 inches.

Now for the good news. Well, good news only if you have the financial muscle to flex and reside in the Land of the Rising Sun. The F: NEX x Design Coco Human-size Evangelion Unit 01 Figure is something money can buy, but it cost you a fortune, or 3,003,000 yen (about US$27,522) each.
