Not only is the Dallas World Aquarium a place to see some amazing marine life but it is also a zoo. Located in Dallas’ West End Historic District, you’ll not only get to see some amazing creatures, but you’ll get a look at history as well. Here’s a totally new kind of thrill for you. Have you ever wanted to attend a real live mystery dinner but didn’t want to go to all the bother of planning one yourself? Well, this may not be a dinner event, but it’s even better! The Dallas Escape Room is one of the most memorable stops on any journey you’ll ever take. Here you are, enclosed in a room and the clock starts ticking. Members of your team MUST solve the mystery or else – or else what? Well, don’t worry, they won’t keep you locked in if you don’t solve it, but never fear. Someone will, or will they? See for yourself.

While so many people flock to Dallas to see the home of the Dallas Cowboys at the AT&T Stadium, for those who aren’t passionate about football, why not pay a visit to the home of the Mavericks. Basketball may be more your thing and the American Airlines Center is also a multipurpose sports arena so that BB isn’t the only game you can enjoy here. Okay, so sports aren’t your thing? What about a concert! Who doesn’t love Shania?

4. Deep Elum

There is no describing Deep Elum in Dallas except to tell you that it’s an eclectic blend of all things artsy and edible. From the moment you enter the area, you will find delightful Tex-Mex eateries, street murals, street side vendors, and everything in between. Plan to spend more than a day in the Deep Elum neighborhood and do bring your wallet with you. If you don’t find a dozen delights to bring home with you, well, that would be an oddity in itself.

5. Dallas Arboretum

For those who love the beauty of nature, there’s nothing quite like the Dallas Arboretum. This 66-acre plot of botanical beauty in Dallas is a place of serenity. Located on the southeastern shore of a lovely body of water, White Rock Lake, you’ll enjoy some of the world’s most awesome trees, flowers, and plants. Need a break from a long, hard year at work? Plan to spend a time of solitude at the Dallas Arboretum.

If these five things to do in Dallas aren’t enough, don’t worry, there’s plenty more to do and see. This is one city you’ll be delighted in and chances are, you’ll be here for another go-round next vacation, and the one after that, and the one after that…
