The G.I. Joe and Transformers crossover continues with a new action figure, the G.I. Joe x Transformers Soundwave Dreadnok Thunder Machine, Zartan & Zarana.
This would make the latest addition the third G.I. Joe x Transformers figure after Bumble A.W.E. Striker & Lonzo and Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank.
Though I hardly think Soundwave fits the alt mode of a Dreadnok Thunder Machine which is a Frankenstein Mad Max-style machine which is a car that Soundwave never was. I think the role would be most suited for Lockdown or Knock Out, IMHO, but I guess Soundwave sells.
But we have to give it to Hasbro for not only recreating the Thunder Machine as we have remembered it but also making it transformable into a 10-inch Soundwave figure.
The pack, as suggested by the official product name, comes with Zartan and Zarana O-ring action figures, plus a converting Ravage figure.
Also included are G.I. Joe-inspired weapon accessories and details, including an accurate scale to original toys, awesome retro-inspired packaging, as well as file cards.
The Soundwave figure converts to the iconic Dreadnok Thunder Machine mode in 33 steps.
Both Zartan and Zarana figures can fit inside the vehicle mode and behind the turret on Soundwave’s back.
