Also relating to G.I. Joe is a new toy from the Transformers x G.I. Joe crossover. Joining the Transformers x G.I. Joe Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank on the good guy side is the Transformers x G.I. Joe Bumblebee A.W.E. Striker & Lonzo “Stalker” Wilkinson.
Considering how the A.W.E. Striker is a beach buggy, it really should have been Beachcomber, IMHO. I guess Bumblebee sells better than the little-known Beachcomb. Such is the reality for us.
Anyhoo, like in the cartoon, dear old Bumblebee has a human companion, G.I. Joe Lonzo “Stalker” Wilkinson. Sorry, Spike, Lonzo just knows how to kick butts and you don’t.
Bumblebee converts into an A.W.E. Striker in 21 steps. As a vehicle, it is true to scale to the 1985 A.W.E. Striker toy which Lonzo can interact with it by manning the turret or taking the wheel.
The Transformers x G.I. Joe Bumblebee A.W.E. Striker & Lonzo “Stalker” Wilkinson comes with a cannon and weapon accessories. Like Megatron, it has a packaging inspired by a mash-up of the classic 80s toys with retro artwork while Lonzo “Stalker” Wilkinson is presented in a cardback with a file card.
Unfortunately, pre-orders for the Transformers x G.I. Joe Bumblebee A.W.E. Striker & Lonzo “Stalker” Wilkinson on Hasbro Pulse were snapped up as soon as it was announced earlier today.
However, you may want to check with other toy retailers if they still have slots (for the pre-order). The asking price on Hasbro website was US$68.99 with delivery slated to happen in February 2023.
