With Transformers‘ interaction with humans, you know one day the robots in disguise will eventually cross paths with G.I. Joe. And cross paths it did but bad news for the Autobots because for this Transformers x G.I. Joe, Megatron that has teamed up with Baroness.
We dig it, a lot. Not just because Megatron cleverly disguised himself as the awesome H.I.S.S. Tank but the tank also accurate to scale to the 1983 H.I.S.S. Tank toy.
When in the robot mode, the included Baroness action figure can man the turret and when in tank mode, she can be seated in the tank’s cockpit.
If the fact that Meg can be transformed into the oh-so-nostalgic H.I.S.S. Tank isn’t awesome enough, the toy will come in a special retro packaging inspired by the classic 80s Transformers and G.I. Joe toy packaging, complete with retro artwork, while the Baroness figure comes on a card with a file card.
You know, sometimes I wish the packaging isn’t this nice because I always ended up not opening them, or buying another just to rip the toy out of the package and still have one mint-in-box. Wait a minute… is this a trick Hasbro uses to sell more? Hmmm
But it does not matter anyway because, the Transformers Collaborative: G.I. Joe Mash-Up, Megatron H.I.S.S. Tank and Baroness set is sold out on the same day the product went live for pre-order on Hasbro Pulse on February 24, 2022. Not even US$89.99 could stop fans from snapping it up.
It is not all bad news, though. It looks like you can still pre-order the item on The Chosen Prime, TF Source, and other retailers.
