Good news, fans of the 80s anime series Voltron: Defender of the Universe. ThreeZero has announced the new mecha action figure based on the popular 80s series under its ROBO-DOU line.
ROBO-DOU, for the uninitiated, is a toyline based on mecha from Japanese anime properties with a focus on quality and affordability. While non-scale, the ThreeZero Voltron: Defender of the Universe ROBO-DOU Figure is a screen-accurate representation.
The figure, which stands around 27 cm (10.6 inches) tall in Voltron mode, features a frame of die-cast metal, with each individual Lion mechas fully articulated and boasts zinc alloy and metal joints.
While it may not look like it, it can be split and transformed into the individual robot Lions, thereby increasing its playability. With a combined 124 points of articulation, the ThreeZero Voltron: Defender of the Universe ROBO-DOU figure certainly has a lot of posing options.
Voltron will have its own weapons, such as the sawblade heel and giant-ass sword, so will the individual mechas.
The ThreeZero Voltron: Defender of the Universe ROBO-DOU Figure will be released sometime in Q3 2022. Meanwhile, you may secure a copy by pre-ordering it from threezerohk.com for US$299.
