If you time traveled to, say, 1990s or even the year 2000, and tell people that G-Shock is kind of a luxury timepiece in future, nobody will believe you. But here it is, another premium model joining G-Shock’s Full Metal Series, GMWB5000GD-4.
And the GMWB5000GD-4 is a must-have for anyone who’s into gold stuff. Granted, the GMWB5000GD-4 ain’t gold, but it at least has a pretty rose gold ion plated finish – the first in G-Shock full-metal line-up.
As you can see, this new premium tough timepiece has a rose gold stainless steel case and band which distinguishes itself from its cohorts (save for the gold variety).
Moreover, it also touts premium touches including a screw back with a diamond-like carbon finish that is said to offer “outstanding wear resistance.”
Beyond the premium look, the GMWB5000GD-4 is very much the GMWB5000 you have known which includes Bluetooth connectivity allowing it to work with G-Shock Connected app.
Other standard features and functions include shock resistance, water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet), Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping, high-contrast STN-LCD digital display, Tough Solar Technology, Full Auto Super Illuminator LED light, 5 World Time (39 cities + UTC), 1/100th second stopwatch, 5 daily alarms (with 1 snooze alarm), countdown timer, 12/24 hour formats, and full auto calendar.
