Remember Limited Gundam Edition Oppo Reno Ace? Well, here’s a matching accessory for users who are big on mobile gaming. It is the Oppo Gamepad C1 Unicorn Gundam Edition. As the product name suggests, this is the Gundam edition of the Oppo Gamepad C1.
It is adjustable to accommodate most smartphones and bears the aesthetic that matches that of the Limited Gundam Edition Oppo Reno Ace. Beyond that, it is the Gamepad you may already have learned.
The game controller for smartphones features linear motor 4D vibration, in-depth system adaptation with ColorOS (obviously), instant play, Bluetooth 5.0, a somewhat ergonomic grippy back, and it promised to deliver “gaming-grade” performance.
The game controller is rocking the usual ABXY buttons, a clickable thumb stick, a couple of system buttons, as well as shoulder buttons (strangely, it has three, instead of two or four). There is also a power on/off button and a USB-C port for charging.
A worthy note about the “system buttons.” Each of them has built in notification light that notifies you of any incoming messages and other notifications.
I am not sure about the battery capacity, but Oppo said per charge should offer 40 hours of use with full-charge requiring up to 2 hours. However, it has quick charge capacity, affording you 3 hours of playtime with just 5 minutes of charge.
Oppo Gamepad C1 Unicorn Gundam Edition is now selling in China with a 299 yuan (around US$43) sticker.
However, other makes of Android handset is not support yet. The same goes for other models of Oppo phones.
