Here’s a quick catch-up with two lovely dive watch/dive computers we have missed in recent months. Garmin has, in recent months, unveiled two innovative dive computer series: the Garmin Descent G1 Solar – Ocean Edition and the Garmin Descent Mk3 series.
The Garmin Descent G1 Solar – Ocean Edition is an eco-friendly dive computer and smartwatch made from 100% recycled ocean-bound plastics. It features a solar charging lens for extended battery life, various dive modes, GPS tracking, data storage for up to 200 dives, and over 30 built-in sports apps. Additionally, it includes health and fitness tracking features, smart notifications, and Garmin Pay. This device is priced at $699.99.
The Descent Mk3 series, on the other hand, includes advanced dive computers with a 200-meter dive rating and bright AMOLED displays. Some models in this series come with a built-in flashlight. The series offers enhanced SubWave sonar technology for diver communication and tank pressure monitoring.
It also features multiple dive modes, DiveView maps, dive readiness score, and Garmin’s suite of health, fitness, and connected features. The Descent Mk3 series is available in two sizes and various models, with prices ranging from $1,199.99 to $1,799.99.
