Lunchboxes. There are boat loads of options out there. From the adorable to the sophisticated examples that are targeted at health conscious yuppies with meal plans. Whichever you choose, they have one thing in common: they do no heat up your food. But that is until Heatbox came along.
Heatbox is the first self-heating lunchbox to use steam innovative and smart technology to warm up your delicious home cook meal, so you could consume them warm even if you are out in the middle of nowhere.
All you need is to add water and hit the button, and in eight minutes or so, your meal will be steaming hot, ready for consumption.
Heatbox comes with a built-in battery which can heat up 3 times on a single charge and it can even use to charge your smartphone too. Like who would have taught one day a lunchbox could charge a phone, right?
Other notables include a patent-pending anti-leaking mechanism, two steam outlets, 100 percent bamboo lid, app-connected via Bluetooth technology, selectable heating programs, and anti-slip pads.
Heatbox hails from the Netherlands, and it is now on Kickstarter where you can pre-order a unit for as €119-129 (about US$132-143).
The campaign was funded in a jiffy (I think it was funded in 24 hours) and so yeah, a pledge for a product is a pre-order which will be delivered sometime in July 2020. Continue reading to catch the product pitch video.
