Hot Toys Rey and D-0 1/6th Scale Collectible Figure

If spoilers trigger the rage in you, then you may want to skip this post. If are not triggered by spoilers, then you are good to proceed. So, here goes… Hot Toys has recently announced a new Star Wars 1/6th scale collectible figure based on the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

The collectible is a two-parter, featuring protagonist Rey and droid D-0. Here’s the official description of the 1/6th scale collectible figure:

“The highly-accurate Rey collectible figure is expertly crafted based on her appearance in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. It features a newly developed head and hair sculpture, meticulously tailored outfit, a lightsaber, an interchangeable lightsaber blade emulating the weapon in motion, Rey’s signature quarterstaff, a blaster, a training helmet and remote, and a desert theme figure stand! The new droid D-O features detailed mechanical designs, articulations, and finely applied weathering effects!”

D-0 is not the spoiler. We all know its existence already. The real spoiler here would be a possible reveal of the mysterious helmet as seen in the final trailer. In the trailer, a helmet was dropped as Rey ran into the jungle.

Turns out, the helmet is blinding helmet used to train young apprentices (Luke also wore a similar helmet when he was coached by Old Ben on the Millennium Falcon) and the float sphere seen in one of the trailers is confirm the remote.

Obviously, the blinding helmet is different from the one Luke wore. It could be an updated helmet as years have passed since, or it could simply from an unknown source who Rey has been receiving training from.
