Remember the super cool, Hot Toys glow-in-the-dark Anti-Venom figure by INSTINCTOY? Well, here’s another for super fans of Venom: Hot Toys x INSTINCTOY Venom (Carnage Red Version).
Part of the ongoing artist mix figure designed by INSTINCTOY, this is essentially the Anti-Venom with a red paint job. The figure is not quite for the purists, IMHO.
While the form is lifted from the pages of Marvel Comics, Carnage was never in this hulking form if my memory serves me well. This is a slight twist that some fans may not accept.
Hot Toys x INSTINCTOY Venom (Carnage Red Version) is a hulking figure towering at 34 cm (over 13 inches) tall. Like the previous version, it is glow-in-the-dark too.
The figure is covered in a crimson red color scheme, accented with piano black tendons on glow-in-the-dark material, along with web-like patterns in black across the alien symbiote’s chest.
It further boasts newly painted, interchangeable head sculpts – a head sculpt with a grinning face and a head sculpt with a long protruding tongue.
The head sculpt, which is magnetically attached to the main figure, features creamy eyes and sharp teeth, and highly accurate facial expressions and skin texture.
The figure is painted by Japanese graphic design and illustrator Hiroto Ohkubo of INSTINCTOY.
The Hot Toys x INSTINCTOY Venom (Carnage Red Version) is posable, albeit with limited articulations – or just 8 to be exact.
The Hot Toys x INSTINCTOY Venom Carnage Red Version is available in select markets. That said, we can’t find it selling anywhere except on Toys Wonderland where it is taking pre-order for US$511.87.
