In the 1:64 die-cast car collecting communities, some people make custom parts like, say, a roof tent for its miniature Toyota Land Cruiser. But with the Hot Wheels Elite 64 Mod Shop 1982 Custom Toyota Land Cruiser FJ45 Trophy, your miniature camping-in-the-wild diorama is ready out of the box.

Not going to lie. I am impressed. I mean a miniature classic off-roader, with a roof tent? How is it not to be impressed? That’s to mention other mods you can do with this little fellow. Man, die-cast cars have come a long way from pushing it along while creating the “vroommmm” sound effect. Of course, this isn’t new with the Mod Shop series, but still.

This Elite 64 Troopy is decked out with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from an overlanding rig. We’re talking roof rack, storage containers, recovery boards, jerry cans, a light bar, an awning, a ladder, a shovel, an axe, and even a tent. Basically, the only thing missing is a tiny campfire and some equally tiny marshmallows. Hot Wheels even threw in custom rear tailgate doors and an extra set of steelies, letting you switch the look depending on whether you want “weekend warrior” or “full expedition mode.”

It’s finished in a light blue paint job, sitting on unique 5-star spoke wheels with a spare set of steelies for when you feel like changing up its style. The Troopy comes with a full-metal black chassis, tinted windows, and a black interior, all packaged in a closed box with blister trays to neatly hold the mountain of accessories.
