You know that feeling when your smartphone takes a great photo and you think, “Yeah, that’s good enough”? Huawei just made that feeling obsolete. Meet the Pura 80 series: a four-pronged assault on mediocrity that starts at “Wow” and ends somewhere around “Why does my phone even exist?”

At the base, the Pura 80 [CH] kicks things off with a gorgeous 6.6-inch LTPO OLED display, a variable aperture 50 MP main cam, and a periscope telephoto. All powered by a generous 5,600 mAh battery and backed by 66 W wired + 50 W wireless charging.
Move up to the Pro [CH] and Pro+ [CH], and now we’re in “professional wildlife photographer trapped in a smartphone” territory. These boast a 1-inch 50 MP main sensor (yes, one whole inch), a 48 MP tele-macro lens for that dramatic bug close-up, and a 40 MP ultra-wide. You also get 100 W wired and 80 W wireless charging because this thing fuels faster than your electric car.
And then there’s the Ultra [CH]. A 9.4x optical zoom, dual 50 MP telephoto setup, satellite comms via TianTong, and a 1 TB storage vault for your cinematic masterpieces. It’s basically a spy gadget… if spies also really loved TikTok.
Pricing starts from 5,499 yuan (US$760) and climbs to 9,999 yuan (US$1,390) for the Ultra. All models, except for the regular Pura 80, have been launched in China. No words of its reach outside of China, though.
