iRiver Disney Mickey Speaker IBS-DMM1
A Mickey Mouse speaker is nothing new. A 100W Bluetooth speaker with a 5.25-inch woofer, dual tweeters, Bluetooth 5.4, white noise modes, and furniture-grade styling disguised as Mickey Mouse? That is a lot less common.

No. Bang & Olufsen did not collab with Disney. What you see here is an equally artistic speaker and definitely more affordable speaker from iRiver. Speakers and Mickey Mouse aren’t news, but the iRiver Disney Mickey Speaker IBS-DMM1 is not one of those tiny novelty gadgets that sit on a desk looking cute while sounding like a tin can. This thing appears to have mistaken itself for a proper home audio system.

Officially licensed by Disney and sold under iRiver’s Mplayer Venice lineup, the IBS-DMM1 turns Mickey’s iconic silhouette into what is essentially a 100 W Bluetooth speaker disguised as a piece of furniture. Measuring approximately 525 mm (20.7 inches) wide, 260 mm (10.2 inches) deep, and up to 620 mm (24.4 inches) tall when mounted on its wooden tripod legs, it is large enough to serve as both an audio system and a conversation starter.

Behind the minimalist fabric-covered exterior is a 2.1-channel audio configuration consisting of a 5.25-inch woofer and dual 3-inch tweeters. iRiver says the rear air-duct design helps improve resonance and bass performance, while the 100 W output is intended to fill larger living spaces rather than just provide background music beside a laptop.

Connectivity is surprisingly comprehensive. In addition to Bluetooth 5.4, the speaker supports AUX input, USB playback, and microSD card playback, allowing it to function as a standalone music player without needing a smartphone nearby. A dedicated remote control handles playback, volume, EQ selection, source switching, and other functions from across the room.

Speaking of EQ, users can choose from five sound profiles: Balanced, Rich, Treble Boost, Clear, and Bass Boost. Those wanting even more sound coverage can pair two units together in a dual-speaker stereo configuration.

Then there is the feature nobody saw coming: white noise. The IBS-DMM1 includes 19 built-in ambient sound programs, including rain, waves, birds, campfires, flowing water, train sounds, vacuum cleaner noise, breathing sounds, and even hair dryer noise. Whether you need help sleeping, concentrating, or simply want your room to sound like a train station, apparently iRiver has you covered.

What makes the IBS-DMM1 interesting is that iRiver is clearly selling it as more than just a speaker. The company repeatedly describes it as an interior object, and honestly, it is not hard to see why. The fabric finish, soft curves, and natural wood legs make it look more like modern Scandinavian décor than a piece of consumer electronics. It is the kind of speaker that can sit beside a sofa, in a café, or even in a child’s room without immediately screaming “audio equipment.”

The iRiver Disney Mickey Speaker IBS-DMM1 proves that Mickey Mouse merchandise does not always have to be a toy. Sometimes it can be a 100 W audio system that just happens to look like the world’s most famous mouse. And even more interesting to know is that it can look like Mickey in abstract form, as this speaker has proven. But if only it could be larger, then it would be even better. Just saying…

The speaker was launched last October in Korea for 349,000 won [KR] (about US$230). Unfortunately, we cannot find it being sold at this point except for some listings on eBay.
