Do you have an obsession with super lightweight sports cars, specifically a classic Porsche? Well, if you do, Europe’s restomod extraordinaire KAMManufaktur may have just the car for you. Budapest’s KAMManufaktur has elevated the iconic 912 sports car, maintaining its classic aesthetics and analog driving style while enhancing performance.
The KAMM 912c, launched in 2022, features a semi-carbon body, blending original steel with carbon fiber for a lightweight design or 750 kg (1,653 lbs) to be precise. In 2024, a full carbon fiber option with every body panel replaced by KAMM-manufactured carbon fiber will be available.
With a full-carbon body option, it significantly reduces the car’s weight to just 699 kg (1,541 lbs). The full carbon fiber body option has the option to choose from a variety of finishes, from a fully exposed weave to a fully painted classic look.
For car enthusiasts who crave individuality, KAMManufaktur has even more good news. KAMManufaktur will also offer bespoke design services in 2024, ensuring each car is unique, which ensures no two 912c will be the same.
The 2024 model will include technical upgrades like a more powerful engine and improved aerodynamics.
Prices start at €400,000 (roughly US$437,500), with options for customization. This price includes a donor Porsche 912. But if you already have one 912 for the conversion, then the starting price is €360,000 (or around US$393,750).
