Lamborghini has introduced a new Aventador, called Lamborghini Aventador SVJ, for those who have half a million to spare. In fact, there are two new Aventadors. The Aventador SVJ and the Aventador SVJ 63. The latter was unveiled at Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance and it is a ride that pays homage to the founding year of the raging bull marque, 1963.
Lamborghini Aventador SVJ 63, as may have already seen, differs from the green SVJ with what Lamborghini described as “rich use of carbon fiber” and it is made in an additional limited number of just 63. The “regular” Aventador SVJ, on the other hand, is limited to 900 units. Speaking of the Aventador SVJ, it made its worldwide debut at the Monterey Car week in California.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ represents a new generation of the iconic V12 Lamborghini flagship that had recently take on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife in production car record of just 6:44.97 minutes. It is powered by a 6,498 cc (6.5L) naturally aspirated V12 motor producing 770 ponies and 720 Nm (531 lb-ft) of torque, which is put to good use on all four wheels.
This 1,525 kg (3,362 lbs) ride makes the century mark (0-62 mph) in mere 2.8 seconds and does 0-200 km/h (124 mph) in an impressive 8.6 seconds, and has a top speed of over 350 km/h (217 mph) with an incredible stopping power that could bring the speed steed down from 100 km/h (62 mph) to 0 in 30 meters (98 feet). I bet if you are going stop that quick, you better had a 5-point harness on.
The raw performance of this newest raging bull ride is bolstered by 4-wheel steering, lightweight materials, racing solutions, a new front bumper with integrated side fins, and Lamborghini’s patented active aerodynamics technologies, Aerodinamica Lamborghini Attiva (ALA) 2.0.
