Lamborghini Lanzador Concept Electric Vehicle

Italian supercar maker, Automobili Lamborghini revealed its future all-electric at the Monterey Car Week last month which confused me a little with its choice of words. The Lamborghini Lanzador Concept, as it is called, is described as an “all-electric 4th model concept car.”

Sorry. Fourth what? Did I miss any electric concepts after the Italian marque’s first all-electric concept, Lamborghini Terzo Millennio from 2017? I really needed to know so I spent hours trying to figure out if I had missed any of it and also trying to decipher the meaning of “fourth model”.

Unfortunately, nobody seems to understand this “fourth model” judging by how every single blog or media has regurgitated what the press release has said. That said, since this is destined to be the first-ever all-electric model that will be produced in 2028, I am going to boldly assume that it is fourth because it includes the Terzo and the two hybrids, namely, Sián and the recently revealed Revuelto.

The Lanzador would be an all-new category that the raging bull marque calls ‘Ultra GT’. The design does not stray much from today’s lineup of Lambos. It is very distinctively Lamborghini which begs the question: will this design language remain relevant 5 years from now? I mean, the Lanzador’s look is very today if you know what I mean.

Lamborghini did not offer any EV-related specs but it does hint in its press release that the Lanzador is capable of “peak power of over one megawatt” which works out to be 1,341 horses. That’s a lot of horsepower and could potentially be a two-second car.

While a lot is not known about this upcoming BEV, we do know that Lanzador is a 2-door, 2+2 Lamborghini electric vehicle with a dual motor setup. It is an all-wheel drive automobile and boasts powerful customization options. It further touts a sophisticated control system, active aerodynamics, a steerable rear axle, air suspension, and adaptive features for different surfaces.

As you can see, it is elevated too which looks like it is rigged for off-road, even though the massive 23-inch wheels wrapped low profile rubbers may beg to differ.

Inside, it offers a futuristic, spacious, and sustainable interior. Lamborghini is committed to electrification and sustainability while maintaining its luxury and performance standards.

That’s all we know for now. We will probably not hear more about it until 2028.
