I have watched many animated feature films, and I have got to say Pixar’s Up has got to be the saddest of them all. It has its fun moments, but the film in general is a reminder of the inevitables in life. Anyhoo, speaking of “fun moments,” aside from Russell, Kevin and Dug provide much of the comic relief.
And you can be reminded of the fun part of the sad animated feature film now with the LEGO Disney Up Kevin & Dug (43290) set. The duo is just as iconic as the overzealous, young Wilderness Explorers member, Russell, and the house that got lifted by balloons.
Designed for ages 9 and up (and us, obviously), this 628-piece set lets you recreate the two lovable characters with plastic bricks, complete with posability. Dug has a movable head and tail and can pose sitting or standing—in addition to the removable cone of shame. Kevin has a revolving head, movable wings, and an opening beak.
Included in the set is a stand with movable leaves and a space for the My Adventure Book and a red balloon. Unfortunately, there’s no tall vegetation to let you recreate the elusive Kevin scene. Dug also has his exclusive accessories, which include the cone of shame and Dug’s special collar.
When completed, Kevin with the stand measures 29 cm tall, 12 cm wide, and 16 cm deep (about 11.5 inches by 5 inches by 6 inches).
