LEGO has proven that plastic bricks are perfect for recreating iconic helmets. But so far, what we have seen are helmets with little to no smooth curves. You know, like the AT-AT driver helmet, the Luke Skywalker X-Wing fighter helmet, and Sauron’s helmet, for example. So can it recreate the smooth, aerodynamic silhouette of a Formula 1 race car helmet? Well, apparently, it can totally pull that off as well, as proven by the LEGO Editions Scuderia Ferrari HP Helmet collection featuring Charles Leclerc’s helmet and Lewis Hamilton’s helmet.

That’s right. You may have seen news about these scaled, buildable helmets, and now it is official, with the full details. To be honest, I have no idea what the real purpose of these so-called leaks is. So what if we know something is coming without any details? It is like knowing a hurricane is coming but having no information about it. We are guilty of fueling this strange culture.
Anyhoo, so yeah, the LEGO Editions Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet (without the apostrophe, which spelling is definitely going to set off the spell check) and the LEGO Editions Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet are official. Each helmet features the driver’s number—16 in the case of Leclerc and 44 for Hamilton—along with Scuderia’s iconic prancing horse and sponsor graphics in their respective color schemes.
Charles’ helmet is red over white, while Lewis’ is a striking yellow helmet with red detailing. Charles’ helmet further pays tribute to his father, Hervé Leclerc, and to Jules Bianchi, his godfather.

Each LEGO set is furnished with a minifigure. The 886-piece Charles Leclerc helmet set includes a recreation of the 2024 Monaco F1 Grand Prix winner as a LEGO minifigure for the first time. Meanwhile, the 884-piece Lewis Hamilton helmet features, also for the first time, Hamilton in his red Scuderia Ferrari HP racing suit.
Both sets also come with a stand, along with a signature plaque signed by the respective driver, and a place for the minifigure. When completed, the helmet with the display measures 18 cm high, 13 cm deep, and 11 cm wide (about 7 inches by 5 inches by 4.5 inches).
The LEGO Editions Scuderia Ferrari HP Charles Leclerc Helmet (43014) and LEGO Editions Scuderia Ferrari HP Lewis Hamilton Helmet (43022) will drop on May 01, 2026. The sets were revealed today (March 05, 2026), as the 2026 F1 season opens in Melbourne. These sets were supposed to be available for pre-order now for US$89.99 each set, but we did not find them listed yet.
To celebrate the 2026 F1 season and the launch of the buildable helmets, LEGO has, you guessed it, created two life-size LEGO brick-built helmets. The life-size helmets, which are based on the LEGO sets, even had some photo opportunities with the drivers. Skip ahead to find some photos from the paddock event earlier today.
