LEGO Ideas M.A.S.K. Rhino Set by Ivan.Ho

Fans of 80s animated TV series, M.A.S.K., probably weren’t fans of LEGO yet at that time. It is also likely that you are now consumed by LEGO sets. Well, if you are, then may we introduce you to a M.A.S.K. superfan and LEGO enthusiast, Singapore-based Ivan Ho.

Like yours truly, this man is a major fan of the cartoon series but the difference is that he is also good with manipulating LEGO bricks to create awesome vehicles from the popular 80s cartoon series.

He has created a series of LEGO MOCs based on the animated TV series, including Rhino, a Maroon Kenworth W900 Tractor Rig that transform into a mobile defense unit, the villain Miles Mayhem’s Switchblade, and even the M.A.S.K. HQ, Boulder Hill, that can transform into a battle station.

Unfortunately, none of his creations are available to buy as instructions. However, this man may be the one dude who can help push the franchise into the world of LEGO. And you can help by supporting his submission of the M.A.S.K. Rhino on LEGO Ideas.

So far, the submission has garnered over a thousand supporters, earning it another 500+ days to make the next milestone of 5,000 supporters. There are only three M.A.S.K. sets on LEGO Ideas at this point and Ivan’s submission is the only one that broke the 1,000 supporters milestone and for good reasons.

Ho’s creation is full-featured, complete with a deployable rear end, a battering ram bumper, and a rear cabin that opens to reveal a mobile lab and a space to plug in a rocket launcher. Rounding up the design is a toon-accurate aesthetic just like we have remembered.

If you are a fan of M.A.S.K. and LEGO, do consider supporting this project and share it with fans that you know. If Ivan’s Rhino made it. It could open up a whole new world for fans of the franchise.

Meanwhile, you can check out Ivan’s other M.A.S.K. LEGO MOC over at his Flickr page. And remember to check out his YouTube channel, M.O.C Central. You may also want to check out M.A.S.K. Volcano submitted by Sammy chu too. It is pretty impressive too.
