LEGO MOC Early 1900s Race Car

Motoring enthusiasts will sure to appreciate what LEGO Ideas member joemaruschak did here – even if they aren’t a fan of LEGO. joemaruschak has created a LEGO MOC simply called Early 1900s Race Car.

LEGO MOC Early 1900s Race Car

There’s no fancy name; just an awesome build featuring a working inline 4-cylinder engine and frog hood ornament. The latter is indeed a nice touch. While the frog hood ornament and functional engine are cool and all, the real show stealer here is the fact that the engine features working and properly timed valves.

It does have a cam to actuate the valves, as well as pushrods and springs, which are small elastic bands. Pretty ingenious, if you ask me. A battery box located at the rear of the model drives a motor that runs the LEGO 4-cylinder engine.

That’s not all. It has a working steering too, which has a pitman arm under the car to create a period accurate steering. It is really an amazing build.

joemaruschak’s LEGO MOC Early 1900s Race Car is currently on LEGO Ideas where it is seeking support. It has since cleared two milestones (100 and 1,000 supporters) and it has 182 days to reach the next milestone of 5,000 support.
