Not sure if you have heard. Metallica’s 36-year-old song, Master of Puppets, shot to the top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 (it has risen to #35 as of July 22, 2022, btw) for the first time since its release after it was featured in Stranger Things 4. It was the one scene where D&D-loving, headbanger Eddie Munson (played by Joseph Quinn) played the sound, at extreme volume, of course, on top of the trailer in Upside Down.
The Stranger Things 4 scene has been immortalized in LEGO by LEGO enthusiast, hachiroku24, the same person behind the brilliant LEGO MOC posable Mario figure. hachiroku24 recreated the “fortified” trailer featuring boarded windows, creepy vines, and all, before placing Eddie and Dustin on top, along with guitar amps for the performance to attract the demo bats.
The build was simple but very accurately represented. It is a shame that copyright wouldn’t allow hachiroku24 to include the song in his build video. Or else it would be the most brilliant video. But I am sure fans can playback the headbanging tune in their head while watching hachiroku24 put the set together. Skip ahead to enjoy the said video.
