A true LEGO fan will want to visit The LEGO House at least once in his or her lifetime. One of the reasons is, visiting fans will be able to secure LEGO sets that aren’t available elsewhere. The LEGO 40502 The Brick Moulding Machine is one such LEGO set.

The LEGO 40502 The Brick Moulding Machine [DA] is the second The LEGO House Limited Editions after the Wooden Duck (which is not wooden, btw) introduced last year.

Fans will want it because, it is a detailed replica of one of the types of molding machines currently operating in the Danish toy maker’s Billund molding factory.

At this point there are about 1,000 molding machines operating across the world. These machines are modern version, obviously; not quite the first machine bought in 1946 and arrived in Billund in 1947.

Back then, it requires four people to manually run a single machine, but now, 32 machines are controlled by a single LEGO employee.

The Billund facility alone churns out 1,360 LEGO elements each second from these machines. At the LEGO House, not only will you experience a real-life molding machine, you can pick up this LEGO House exclusive 1,205-piece model for 599 DKK (about US$96).
