Ever wished that the LEGO Darth Vader minifigure could be a lot bigger? If you do, well then it looks like your wish has come true. After upscaling the red and blue Billund campus minifigure, the spaceman, Santa, and more, it is the Sith Lord’s turn to get upsized.
The LEGO Star Wars Up-Scaled Dark Vader Minifigure (75461) uses 1,028 elements for kids aged 10 and up (and us, obviously) to recreate a huge 28 cm tall Darth Vader minifigure. Like the up-scaled minifigures before it, it is designed in the same proportions as the minifigure version. The only difference is that you can scrutinize the details without a magnifying glass or squinting your eyes.
Of course, being a proper up-scaled minifigure, this is not just a statue. The LEGO Star Wars Up-Scaled Dark Vader Minifigure (75461) is fully poseable, which means you can turn the head, move the left arm, hand, and both legs just like you would on a regular minifigure—just, you know, much bigger and a lot more intimidating on a shelf.
The detailing is where things get interesting. The build captures the unmistakable shape of Vader’s helmet and armor, and yes, he does get a fabric cape, because brick-built would have been a crime here. The right arm can be fixed in two positions, letting you angle the Lightsaber just enough to make it look like he is about to have a word with someone who clearly made a poor life decision.
