Lexus Conceived Moon Mobility Concept

Remember the fictional spacecraft SKYJET from Luc Besson’s Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets? Well, as it turns out, that won’t be the last time Lexus had its hands in designing spaceship. It has done it again.

This time, at the request of Document Journal, a biannual journal of American and global culture, for its feature on “life on the Moon.” Basically, Lexus was asked to contribute a lunar mobility concept which the company did.

ED2, the European Advanced Design Studio for Toyota and Lexus turned out 7 concepts from 5 different designers, and boy are they uber futuristic.

The designs range from magnetic levitation bike-like vehicle to massive spaceship to quirky bouncing moon roller. Clearly, automobile designers aren’t aerospace engineers and as such, these are just fantasy spacecrafts.

You can learn more what Documents’ life on the Moon is all about in this article posted HERE and if it interest you, you can read in details for the individual design conceived by the team over at ED2 HERE.
