LG CordZero A9 Kompressor with Steam Power Mop

Vacuum cleaners used to be cumbersome. Then Dyson made it less and less so with cordless stick vacuums. From then on, appliance makers have been striving for longer battery life and lighter, perhaps even more compact, cordless stick vacuum. And then, it grew in size again but for good reasons: new stick vacuums are more capable. Take for example the new LG CordZero A9 Kompressor with Steam Power Mop.

As the name suggests, LG CordZero A9 Kompressor with Steam Power Mop is not any old stick vacuum. This vintage Hoover Model U4189-like device is the brand’s first cordless stick vacuum to offer steam-mopping functionality. That’s right. It doesn’t just mop or wash with water; it has a detachable Steam Power Mop nozzle to provide wet and steam mopping functionality. This allows the surfaces to be cleaned without the need for detergent:

“In steam mopping, the mop pads are kept at a temperature of approximately 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit), enabling the CordZero A9 Kompressor to remove stains from flooring more easily than a conventional wet mopping solution. According to Intertek, the global testing and certification organization, LG’s steam-heated mop pads are more effective than a typical wet mop at separating substances, such as hardened chocolate, from the floor.”
